Treasures
from the Uffizi Gallery Exhibited in Wuhan, China
After
more than 18 hours of “guarded” transport from Shanghai,
some 82 selected pieces from the Uffizi collections dating back
to the Renaissance arrived for exhibition at the Hubei Provincial
Museum in Wuhan, in central China’s Hubei Province. The
Exhibition, Treasure Paintings Exhibition of Uffizi Gallery,
was opened to public on June 18 to September 12, 2010.

USA – Cargo Screening Security Program - (CCSP) Update
At the time of writing, many US museums
in regions served by international gateway airports are now
qualified Certified Cargo Screening Facilities (CCSF). In order
to send their art shipments on passenger flights without the
risk of a physical inspection by the airline’s under trained
personnel there must be a full chain of custody ground transport
from their premises to the airline cargo terminal. That means
that the company they use for transport from the Museum to the
airport must be an Indirect Air Carrier (IAC).
